And So…It Begins

Yesterday was the first day of the 2014 week of OFPA, and it was humbling, to say the least.

3 words that described it: Rain. Rain. And more rain.

But in the midst of the rain, the flood really, we were reminded that nothing in this life comes easy.

This is my fourth year with Operation Foundation and I am still constantly humbled and reminded that it is not about me, it is about this city. It is about serving people with my whole heart for my whole life. And not just serving them in the way that I want, but the way that they need. I have been blown away by the groups that have come and their willingness to serve despite the rain and the cold and the messiness.

To everyone who volunteered on Monday, We thank you immensely! This week would not be possible without you. OFPA would not be possible without you.
